Can anyone verify this information about reset on stereo
Hey i recently changed the battery on my 99' A4. Don't worry I did the whole search thing and found out to press FM2/RDS etc... Also that you only have 3 tries to put the code in or else you have to take it to the dealership...
Well I called boardwalk Audi and without even asking me what model I had or anything they stated that i could leave the car on for an hour and i would be able to try to input the code again. They also said that you weren't limited to 3 tries...
I don't know if this came from confusion in our conversation or what but is there a newer/different model audi that has a different method of stereo reset? or do you think we both just were talking about different things?
The point of the whole thing is i'd like to avoid taking it to the stealership if i can, so if there is another way for me to try to input the code again i'd appreciate it.
