I have a 2000 a4 1.8t and i had a citrus drink spill all over the center console, i wiped it off with a paper towel as soon as i could a few minutes later. all my stereo controls still work but the net day i went to turn on my heat and the defrost button is permenatly on and 82 degrees and almost full fan speed. All of the other buttons push in and out but nothing will change the settings. my rear defrost also will not work. when i push the button on the light will go on but then go out when i take my finger off it.. does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? i also bought my car certified pre owned so i still have the extended warrenty...will the be covered under it?

rip it apart, and clean all the crap out from behind the buttons. That's the only way you're going to fix it right.

If none of the buttons are tacky, it's quite probably audi certified will pick up the tab for this. But if there is any evidence (sticky buttons) that you spilled something to cause this problem, they'll stick you with the bill (which won't be cheap, because they will just install a new unit).
