In the course of doing clutch. Curious on the behavior of the input shaft on the gear box/transmission.

The gear box is now off the car.

I suppose that when a gear is selected, the input shaft cannot be rotated.

However, whatever gear I select, I can always rotate the input shaft freely, and I do not see the driver shafts rotating meanwhile. Is this normal, or the gear box is having problem?

I do not want to put it back before making sure it is good.
