Default First real problem with my Audi, any help appreciated!!!!

I was driving to work, and all of a sudden it felt like no gas was getting to the engine. The engine was a little rumbly, so i pulled off, thinking that the fuel guage was off and i was loww on gas.

I filled up and the engine light came on. But i could still drive. i drove home from work, no problems, but the engine light was on.

I was just trying to start my car to move it up my driveway, and it would not start. Again, it felt like no gas was getting to the engine.

Any ideas on how to start it?
I got an appointment w/ the mechanic first thing tommorow, but if i can't get it there, then i have a real problem!

Default What year is your car?

How many miles?
Coilpacks? Have you had them replaced?
First guesses without any additional info.

First things first -- where do you plan on taking the car for service -- I own a '98 2.8 Q and have had some terrible experiences with one of the better known dealerships. I've also got a couple of German guys that specialize in AUDI/VW/PORSCHE in Toronto.

Believe it or not I had this exact same problem once and never found the source. It lasted for about 10 - 15 minutes -- it would idle fine but under load/acceleration it would jump around like it was not getting enough of something. Like I said though, it took care of itself and no one could ever track it. Let me know if you find anything.

And if you want the name/# of the Germans or horrible stories about Downtown Fine Cars just let me know.
