Default Going to Audi tomm..Need Help and ideas!! I know you guys can help!

Ok..Im going to my local audi dealer tommorow. To have my Laser Red 2001 A4 1.8T appraised...and work out a price for a Pre-Owned 2000 S4 Nogaro Blue Tip with only 12k on it!! He is willing to deal really very low so im quite excited. However, I wanted to ask for any ideas help etc. to get this guy to go low as possible. I want to pay as little as I possibly can to snake this S4 from him. I know there is GREAT financing right now and alot of friends who have recently bought cars have gotten them for around 5 grand off the dealers starting price. If I can do that Im in great shape. Who knows..the market may take care of me..but otherwise ill need some guns to fire back with..help me out!

Default Some advice......

Don't let him appraise your car until you've worked out a figure on the S4. Otherwise they'll play with the figures to make it look like they are giving you a lot for your car......

So set a price on the S4, then set a price for your car.

As far as interest rates go:
See what type of rate you can get outside of the dealer. Have something to compare what they offer you with.

Dealers aren't out to lose money. Don't expect to see $5000 off of a starting price. There usually isn't that much markup in "newer" used cars. Unless they are starting at like 36,500 for that S4....From what I've seen, most dealers are offering around $29,000 for trade in on 2000 S4.

Hope that helps.

He is starting around 37....and I hope to bring him down to that 30 31 at hopefully highest point...Im gonna tell him I might not trade..we might keep the A and buy the S as well. That sound good? I mean I am willing to pay yanno 5-7 plus my car for the 2000 S...reasonable no?

The dealer I work for has a 2000 Silver/Onyx 6spd fully loaded except phone. We are asking 35000 for it.
