hlp pls: need a PN check for a Engine Coolant Temp. Sensor (G62)

This is for the AWM engine

the PN that I got from the dealer is "059 919 501"

the part that I got from my mechanic is "059 919 501 A"

are they the same, compatible, upgrade ?

059 919 501 A is what you need. The 059 919 501 is a completely different plug.
