that is certainly true, which is why I often find myself utilizing the things you recommend dispite
others opinions. I do of course try to do a bit of googling on my own first, as I dont want to jump on every opinion someone might make. But I am able to find things here and there that validate your recomendations.

That is where I read, "Recommended for use in any power steering unit where a Dexron or Mercon fluid is recommended."
So I went ahead and did it.

What did your install shop say about the level drop/leak? CHF11S might work in some apps, but...
wider tires and agressive steering input might overheat it to the point of thinning. It's not like I have stock in XOM, just looking for a good solution (pun intended) to what appears to be a real problem. You need to be in touch with the install shop rather than just taking my advice. I don't want the responsability. I had a call today from a friend about VAG-Com and asked him how his PS was doing on the Royal Purple he tops it with. He said it stopped leaking/dropping level after the dealer had told him he needs a new PS rack. Maybe MaxLife PSF is the way to go, but M1 will have properties more like CHF except, like I said, thicker and more additives. M1 is the thinnest Dexron ATF.
