Welp. After waking and saying to myself "I'm going to be productive and go out and DO something today", I soon found out that I was better off on the couch playing GT3.

Going out to my car, I decide to check my oil level for a routine check. I open the hood, take up the dipstick. Check the level. On the upper part of normal, but still normal. Good. Off to be productive....

...then I try to put the dipstick back in. Doesn't fit. "Hrm", I think. Then I realize that the upper part of the dipstick holder BROKE OFF.

"Well carp".

So, Me and my friend (who had car problems of his own today...dead battery, car alarm constantly going off, hood refused to open), attempt to take the broken part off after we found out that my local dealer has the parts and it's CHEAP (2.50 for a new "oil funnel"). then it breaks off again.

"Carp, carp, carp!"

Then, bright idea by my friend: Get a paperclip to pull the other part out. good idea....until the inner ring breaks in half. Not good.

"Carp!"

We finally were able to flick both peices out in the engine bay and not in the oil. Which was a good thing. Got the new part in, and all was good in the world.

So, disaster averted. Until I decide to go out and be productive and notice that one of my headlights is out.
