Default OK ITS NOW DARK AND I HAVE A PROBLEM

FIRST its friday and i dont have headlights. WHY? Well i just got the RS6 xenon HID kit and am having problems making a "secure connection" with the balasts. SO if anyone i mean ANYONE knows anything about getting these things working CORRECTLY I would really appreciate your help. So far Ive made smoke with the balats but i dont think i totally ruined them. I turned it them off when i saw smoke. Basically ive been trying to figure out how to keep the ignito/balast from frying. The only thing is I dont know what im doing. PLEASE HELP ME.

Default We'll need a litle more info in order to help.

Have you blown any fuses? Did you hook up stock wiring to ballast, ballast to igniter, igniter to bulb?

Default well I have tapped into the stock wiring for the ignitor and then i am trying to but

unsuccefully put the ignitor onto the bulb. i tried again and all that happens is it flickers on then goes off. and then it smells like it has been burning. the bulb itself has some burning on it and the ignitor has burns aswell but i dont think they are completely damaged. I tried to follow the instructions given on oemhid.com . I think i did a good job of doing it but when i tried turning the lights on this started happening. IF you need more info let me know

The burning is a cause of a bad ignitor to bulb connection

Default yeah i did the same. how exactly did you wire it up?

what i did was clip some male spades onto the ballast wiring and stuck it into the stock H7 connectors.

are you turning the ignitors to lock in the bulb?

Default I clipped off the stock harnesses...

leaving enough wire to reconnect them, if I want to revert back to halogen. Then I just removed insulation from the tips of the brown and yellow wire from the ballast and wrapped them around the fresh cut low beam wires (brown to brown, yellow to red). The burning that B5:1.8t:A4 is getting, is probably arching. I bet he didnt lock the ignitor on fully.
