only running in five cyclinders instead of six. i need new wires what should i get?

First, get someone to VAG-COM your car to pull the codes. FIND OUT WHAT THE COMPUTER HAS IDENTIFIED AS THE PROBLEM!

From this, you should have a good idea of which solution to take first, e.g., electrical problem (no spark) causing misfire, fuel problem (no fine fuel mist) causing misfire, or other problems: air/fuel mixture, clogged filter(s), carbon deposits on valves or piston heads, etc.

Second, I would certainly pull all of the plugs to "read" them. Spark plugs can tell you a lot about how your engine is burning fuel and/or otherwise functioning. Normally, the plugs should have a greyish-white coating, the edges of the electrodes should remain sharp, and the ceramic should appear intact and slightly dirty, but not glazed. If they appear coked with dry or wet black coating you have an oil leak, cold plug (under heating), or overly rich condition. If too white, you may have lean burn condition. If overly clean with glaze on the ceramic, you may have a hot plug (over heating problem). See NGK, Bosch, Beru, or most of the other manufacturer's web sites for tech info on how to read spark plugs.
