PHH Transmission
I'm looking for a new transmission for my A4, since mine is shot, and was wondering if anyone knew the details on the transmission code PHH, since a buddy of mine has one at his shop. I've looked at it and know its a manual quattro, but was mostly wondering if it was a 2.8 or 1.8 tranny and what years they were used on?

read the wrong place?
"Bushings and hubs are used to secure products such as pulleys, sprockets or
couplings onto a shaft. SKF offers tapered bushings as well as weld-on and bolt-on hubs. SKF bushings are identified by the designation prefix "PHF," while hubs carry the designation prefix "PHH.""

Maybe he meant DHH or HHd(upside down).
IIRC the 2.8 trans I am running in my 1.8 started with a D and looking at www.car-parts.com most of the A4 trans do start with D.
There is also a FHH, but that seems to be a A.T., 2.8L, Quattro out of a 2001.

Ya my current tranny is a DWM, and when looking at that this "PHH" the only other three letter combo
I could find was WWO. I'll go ahead and take some pics tonight or tomorrow and post them and see what you guys think, who knows maybe I am just completely looking at the wrong thing ha.
