Side subject: bad day to be living in Iowa...

A 14-year-old girl looked outside her window this past Friday in a rural Iowa town and caught this on camera, bearing down on her house. Don't know what became of her, her house--don't know. But the photo is almost unreal. Glad i don't live in tornado alley...

Keeper of the Cash
The past week as been very intense weather-wise for us. Many dubbers
are being flooded, three of which lost their cars.
Oh, can't forget people and business who are being ruined and uprooted because the water simply has no where to go.
However, I don't have a lot of sympathy. Not until we learn geological reasoning and STOP building our lives, homes, and business in flood bank areas.

my sister lives in Iowa and her landlord is a POS SOB. Their place is full of sludge
and the landlord wants to deny help because they "altered" the home by pulling up the carpet that was soaked thru with sludge and crap!
Just the tip of the iceberg, they are going through hell right now b/c of this landlord.

do they have renters insurance?
for floods? dont think the landlord is liable but i would think with his investment in the property he would want to help to be able to get more moneys for rent..

Sorry--got that off a small news service; even so--would suck to see that outside your house!
14, 34, hell--84----I still wouldn't want to see that beast headed my way. And i've seen pics of ones that were even much bigger than that; I'm sure some of our midwestern brothers on this blog have seen a few monsters in their lives---maybe even an F-5. Anybody remember the behemoth that wiped out Wichita, Kansas some years back?
