Default Stock wheels w/ ok all seasons or 18s w/ bad summers or 18 w/ blizzak lm22

I have the first 2 setups and I'm wondering if it would be worth it to get the 18 w/ winter tires. Has anyone used the 18s w/ winters or summer tires in the winter? Minnesota is starting to get dumped on. If i get winters for the stock, they will be useless after the spring because of brake upgrade, thats why I didnt want to get stock size winters.

if the stock rims are too small, then get 18s with winter tires of course.

Default Personally...

I would not like to run an 18" wheel in the winter due mainly to possible sliding and winter damage.. Not as beefy as the stock beasts when it comes to taming curbs and such when sliding.. I would do Stocks/winter tire, but if I had some money, I would run 17's or 18's w/ Lm22's.. It also depends how winters are too in your area, Minnesota is pretty bad I know..

Default the 18's are kinda trashy brabus mono IV so i dont care about em

So they are more prone to sliding due to the lower profile giving less dampening on the road?

Default I have nokian nrw's on 18's

and like them a lot.
then again I live in so cal and only make it up to the snow for a few days at a time.

lately there hasn't been crap either.

so, I guess my opinion is pretty useless.

Default so far really good, but not much experience with them

i've only had them in the snow 1 day, but was happy with them
i did a TON of research and found this to be the tire that everyone liked and nobody complained about. they're actually a winter tire, but work well on dry / wet so I'm going to run them till the summer or longer. they have a 50k mile gaurantee deal, so we'll see.

so far definitely so good.

i got 4 shipped to my door from etires.com for like $850 a bit pricier than sumitomos / etc but they're supposed to last much much longer.
