Stumbled across this site. If you need to replace vacuum hose and are looking for colored hose...

http://www.hosetechniques.com/

I have to wonder about this stuff...
The previous owner of my S put the stock BPV's in place, and attached them with (what appears to be) blue silicone hose and nylon wire ties. The silicone hose appears to be very thin-walled, and I wonder if it will pinch under extreme vacuum? The nylon wire ties don't seem like a good idea either. Won't they become brittle with age?
In any event, I walked down to my local dealer Wednesday, and picked up some factory vacuum hose, and some Oetiker clamps to clean this up.

Dunno about that OEM stuff and I'm not a fan of silicone either. IMO silicone is fine if the line is
routed very carefully and subjected to high heat but I think it kinks far too easily and certainly cuts too easily. I prefer good old vacuum hose to either silicone or OEM fabric covered hose. Plain vacuum hose is cheap and resists cutting and kinking closed. I don't like the OEM fabric because I think it can hide embrittled hose and it is expensive by comparison.
