2004 tail light assembly same as 2002?
I just bid on a tail light assembly for the passenger side for my 2002 A4 1.8T. After bidding, I saw that the assembly was for a 2004, part number 8E5 945 218A. I just wanted to check to make sure that the part would fit my 2002 housing. I'm assuming that it will, but I don't want to be stuck with a part that I can't use. no, maybe 18 being an even number refers to the passenger side
and A refers to a revision or perhaps a casting number if it is on the actual part.
A could be on the lamp itself and refer to it being for a LHD country or any number of other minor differences.

I couldn't find it in ETKA either but I'm sure it will fit. The bulb holders have a rev.A on them
so maybe he accidentally copied down the "A" after looking at the bulb holder part number?
