Default Making payments on the car?

If so, they are the real "owners", and if its Audi Financial, you might want to let your Insurance know, what caused the blaze, and let them handle it. Because whom ever owns the car, will probably be attempting to collect monies, and if it was a manufacture defect, your insurance most likely wont pay. They have better resources to deal with such cases.

Default Exactly. Greg should file the claim and get the check (it will be totaled after that mess).

It's not Greg's responsibility to prove who is at fault. This is why you carry comprehensive insurance.

So Greg, if you read this one of many replies, what are you going to consider as a replacement?

Default Ouch... how could this happen? Did the fire start for no apparent reasons?

This is truely scary.

How can Audi CP be so unreliable? One of the CPs in my car recently failed. It is a simple part, how can it fail??? After reading your story, my confidence in Audi has definitely dropped.

No apparent reason, spontaneous combustion. Car was just parked in the garage. Being new, all maintance has only been done by the dealer. We have a new BMW and Infiniti parked right next to it and were lucky that only the Audi was damaged. Believe it or not, this was one of our favorite cars to drive.

Wow, that's one of the craziest stories I've heard. Good luck getting it all sorted out.

Default Yes, insurance will cover it but something like that is not acceptable and would want AOA to remedy

this problem just out of principle...just my opinion.
