the bose amp is mounted in the rear deck, pull a signal off there. tweeter installed mine that way.

The way you check to see if the signal to the amp is amplified or not is to...
use a voltage meter. If it's amplified, you'll have some voltage, it it's not, you won't. I had "0" voltage when I checked my wires on my Symphony system.
