Anyone washtheir car in a car wash?
My hands are starting to bother me alot from the numbness from the cold. I was really hoping to wash the car this weeknd, but highs are only to the high 30's. I am afraid of car washes b/c of swirl marks, but realize that i might have to give in. It'll be kinda' tough to drive with frostbitten hands...
just wondering if any of you foks use car washes for their babies, and what they do about swirl marks. Can I remove them (if they appear) in the spring?

must use hand car wash...
make sure it's not the type where they use a broom type brush to clean the cars (lotsa scratches).
The one i go to uses some kinda wool looking bushy thing to rub clean the car. Also make sure it's drive thru w/o rails that lock onto the car.
it only costs me $10 which includes a compressed air drying (by hand), vacuum, dash & window cleaning. i'm in Bergen, NJ

Yes...
My 17 years old son was working in a hand car last summer, they do an incredible job in thoses places. One thing to do to be sure of a realy good attention to your car is to ask directly the guys who will wash your car to do a good job and give them tip before.
They first apply acid on the wheels and then use pressure water to first clean the car and one guy go inside and 2 other are outside washing with mittens, then rinse your car, apply liquid wax and rinse again. they use compressed air and chamois to dry it, put tire dressing and the exterior is done. The clean interior window, pressure wash your rubber mats and vacum the rest. They worth paying the extra to get your car clean well.

Yup. I was gonna wash my car Thanksgiving Day...
But it was too damn cold. All summer I've been washing it myself, but for times like this, their is a carwash I go to that does everything by hand. 100% brushless and no rails to F up the wheels.
