Brake dust build up on rear wheels
Anyone else have this issue? All of the other cars that I have owned have the brake dust buildup on the front wheels, which makes more sense to me. But on this car the fronts stay relatively clean and the rears get most of the brake dust build up.

I always thought that reason my other cars had buildup
on the front was becasue those were the breakpads that do most of the work. ie when you stop the cars weight shifts forward.
Now I think I might have been wrong.

It's the EBD(electronic brake distribution) system applying more force..
to the rear brakes. It's part of the stabilization system. The rear brakes are used more often to keep the front end straight.

In other words, You're driving too hard. :-)
I mean.. if the EBD is being constantly used, probabbly you're cornering too fast. Try switching off the ESP for a while after you clean the weels, to see if that's the reason.

This is probably due to Audi listening to its customers...
Complaining about the amount of brake dust on the front wheels. They just switched to a harder pad on the fronts, hence less dust.
After installing my stoptech kit and the axis pads, I can assure you the fronts will dust like crazy. The backs now look like the front wheels used to.
