Well....After only having my car back for less than a week from the dealership since having it there to fix my non-functioning speedometer and check engine light, it happend again. The speedometer stopped working and then the check engine light went on. The funny thing is, I don't think the service department actually drove the car at all after they "fixed" it. I only drove about 20 miles or less before the speedo stopped working since I did not drive the car all week.

Does anyone else have a similar problem to this? What steps are taken by a dealership if they cannot diagnose a problem? I assume they contact AoA and see. Thanks. Any help would be appreciated. I am dropping it off tonight without an appointment for them to hopefully fix once and for all tomorrow

I had that same problem! But it was on my VW. I drove off the lot with it and that's when i noticed it. They said it was working earlier that day when they prepped it. So i returned it. They fixed it. After driving off the lot it was broken again! So this time they ordered a whole new speedo assembly. Been almost two years now and it's fine.
