Doing my 30,000 mile check up t/m morning. A few questions
Assuming that I drive my car hard (which I do):
*What things should I have them really check for?
*What things should I try to get replaced?
*If I buy and aftermarket clutch, will they
install it for me (meeting them halfway type
deal)
*My brakes squeek, what does should be replaced?
Thank You

Re: Doing my 30,000 mile check up t/m morning. A few questions
have them check the condition of all your brakes -- pads and rotors. i took my car in for 20K and was told my brakes were fine. 2 months late i had to go back cause the low pad light came on and they ended up replacing pads all around.
depending on your dealer, they may or may not replace OEM with aftermarket parts even if the original part needs to be changed. my dealer refused to install my cross-drilled rotors.
don't forget to have them replace your wiper blades.

For the brake squeak you will get a glossy phamplet saying"metallic brakes squeak".Aftermrkt clutch?
You will get the same clamping presure regardless of clutch design and composition, until you upgrade disc and flywheel to 240mm from 228mm, you will end up with an unforgiving race clutch that won't have any more ability to transfer power and the inertial mass wil be greater. (power loss)
