Default Feedback on my new K04 install

Evening!

Thought I might let you all know my results from my new K04 install.

I really wanted to go for the super K04 kit. However, I got a great deal $$ on a slightly used turbo and injectors from one of our audiworld forum members so I sprung for the stock Borg Warner K04-15.

My expectations were not very high. I know that the K04 is not terribly different from the K03.

Well, the results are outstanding. The gain in torque and power is more than the difference of going stock to chip. I also have a Thermal exhaust street version.

The car reminds me of my 2000 S4 tip when it was stock. The car pulls so hard in corners that you can feel the quattro digging into the concrete, like it wants to pull it apart. It's awesome.

I can't believe the difference in how fun the car is now, coming from simply a 1bar chip. For those of you who are really let down and disappointed in the stock car (because 170hp is so weak!), I give you my encouragement, that at least you have this option.

BUT, I strongly encourage those who want the turbo upgrade to go ahead and get the super K04, which will be even more torque. The standard K04-15 is just not near the value of the super K04. For a little over $2k you get the manifold, turbo, injectors and software.

I can't even imagine how fun that setup must be!

Cheers!

Steve

Default Ok this entire K04 upgrade is confusing me. I've heard this and that...

I've heard, you shouldn't just buy a K04 and then buy injectors and other parts seperately because of whatever reason. It's best to just buy a turbo upgrade that is packaged, like the PES turbo upgrade or the E05 GreedSpeed turbo upgrade. So what did you purchase or already have when you dropped in your K04 turbo. Also did you not have to get K04 software? Well, I'm pretty confused so if you can enlighten me, I'd appreciate it.
