got HID, and the no head light warning on display
just installed HID, hard to find a place for ballast though, since I am not using E-Codes.
Do you guys know how to remove the "no head light warning sign" on the display? It came up after I installed the HIDs.
I will put some pictures up maybe today or tomorrow, since my camera is in my gf's home and she is currently very pissed at me, saying that I care about the car more than her. ****, why are girl so sensitive, I mean, my car is my car, not like I love it so much that I jerk off to my car everyday or something.. enought rant, I am going to buy flowers now, post pic later(prob tomo), I promise

If you ran power to the HIDs through a relay then the warning sign will come on...
although wiring it through the relay is the better way to do it. The HIDs are only 30W , but at ignition draw a lot of current, therefore safer to route through relay.
If you simply connected the bulb connector for the halogens directly to ballast, the ballast/HID will draw enough current from the stock headlight connectors - no warning should appear.
I got around this on my B5 using a power resistor across the stock headlight connector (to act as a load) while connected to the relay.
AFAIK, there is no VAG mod to get rid of the warning.

I kind of posted about this above... read
Does anyone have info on what type/where to get/how to install the power resistor needed to fool the thing in to thinking lights are on when being run through a relay?
I want to go that route so as not to fry my wires/switches down the line, but not sure how to hook up the resistor. I'm cool on the relay.
Thanks
