High temperature readings and burning smell to newly installed Thermal Race exhaust...

I just had my Thermal Race installed today and I am experiencing a burning smell (kinda like BBQ or roasted peanuts) and also unusually high temps on my outside temperature reading on the center dash digital console...

Is this normal? I am thinking it just needs some breaking in, and some of the powder and stainless is just breaking in, thus the burning smell....

Anyone have this happen? Comments and suggestions would be nice....

Other than that, the install went well and the tips dont stick out as much as people have commented about. I love the sound of the Thermal Race too....very throaty and not too loud.

It's probably packing material, grease from hands, etc burning off. It'll pass.

That's what I am thinking...did you have any symptoms like mine after install?

I don't have any problem like that, but I suspect the problem u have is normal.

hows sound compare to other exhaust youve heard?

On noise meter of 1-10
Stock being 1
Neuspeed 5?

I have heard APR, but that's almost like stock. Thermal is loud, but really not as bad as some say

I actually like the sound of Thermal Race. It is definitely throaty and sounds like a European V8 with a bite. When I startup, it gives me a nice grin!

But of course, everyone will have their own opinions. I like the race, and I personally think it isnt too loud. Especially compared to those Civics and Mustangs and Camaros on the road.....
