How much oil does 03 1.8t take?

And where should I buy a new oil filter? Dealer?

I just bought some Mobil 1 0-40 and wanted to take my car to a gas station to change my oil and filter.

According to my manual - 3.7 Quarts w/Filter

I'd get the filter from the dealer, at least if its still under warranty...

3.7 litres with the oil filter. So 4 litres is enough.

Is it free under warranty? Last time...

I called the dealer, he wanted to charge me $150 since it wasn't a scheduled 10k maintenance. That's why I bought my own oil and wanted to go to some gas station to do it.

Only free at "scheduled" intervals - I think its every 10k on 2003...

Certainly can change it more often (and by the way I put Mobil 1 0-40 in mine last time). But I'd still use the factory filter and buy it at the dealer...
