I have the "coin rattling" noise coming from the front when going over bumps...
I tried a search but didn't come up with much. What I did come up with is it is coming from the brakes.
Anyone else have this, how is this fixed/corrected?

I have the same problem
It's the brake pads moving inside the caliper. It is very annoying. The fix is to tkae the pads out of the caliper and apply anti squeal lubricant to the back side of the pad. Not a difficult process, but not the first thing on my list to do in my off time.

front pads or calipers, no fix, no problem...just noisey when windows open...many threads on this complaint in B5 and B6 forums

Take a look at the retaining clip that helps hold the caliper and pad to the carrier.
That thing gets loose at times. It's not very snug either as far as making contact with the pad. I suspect the noise is coming from there. I used to get that coin rattling sound all the time when I had stock brakes.
