Default Might want to post a pic of the new mounts in your post.

My first thought was the second pic was a shot of the new mounts.

From the pic on your site, they look substantial. Will be interesting to hear feedback after people start installing them.

Default We feel they're better.

These work very much like a simple shock absorber. Damping medium both above and below the "piston".

This allows the top connection of the mount to be completely detached from the bottom connection of the mount. Full isolation allows the mounts to transmit fewer small vibrations, yet still dampen bigger movements.

<img src="http://www.purems.com/images/my_storage/xsectioncomplete.jpg">

Our firm mount for example is on WMS's beast. A few folks here are running both the soft and firm mounts.

A couple quotes from users..
"Happy here. Initially I noticed the vibration - my wife joked we now own a Harley, I barely notice the vibrations now. I still think the version I have s/b limited to an S4 that is 2+ or greater due to the reduction in refinement. However, anyone after performance s/b happy with your mounts at this stiffness level." - S4 w/Firm mounts

"he's liking them a lot. From what he's experiencing...almost no added vibes." - S4 w/firm mounts

"The vibrations at idle without the ac on are not noticeable. When the ac is on the car does have some vibrations. " - A4 1.8big turbo w/ firm mounts

Default looks like it is better built from the outside, and seems pretty dang stiff as a soft mount LOL

what would be serviced in that thing? it just separates and new or different filler added?

Default Clearing up misconceptions about "isolation"...

Unless you have magnets suspending the mount, it's not "fully isolated."

Placing polyurethane inside a piece of billet aluminum is not FULL isolation. The same principles of NVH transfer apply to your mount and the factory style mount.

In your case, the filling inside the mount provides vibration dampening.

In the case of our Density Line mounts, the vulcanized rubber provides vibration dampening, in the same way, to the same extent.

Saying that the your mounts are "fully isolated" and ours are not is misleading and not correct.

Also, as a reference, the "mode of failure" that you mention above we fully warranty in the rare instance it happens. We have had a failure rate of less than 1% in the 3 years we've been selling and installing our Density Line mounts. We don't want a representation of "rampant failures" to be cast as true, as its simply not the case and we have thousands of satisfied customers world wide.
