Low engine coolant indicator
The low engine coolant indicator came on, on my Audi A4, 2002. I thought that the cooling system is sealed. Does it mean that I might have a leak?
I checked the engine and indeed the coolant is below the min line.
Also does anybody know where I can get engine coolant liquid for Audi's? The dealer only sells 1-gallon bottles, which is way more than i need.

It is, up to a specified pressure...usually 18-24psi, then the cap on the res will vent to atmosphere. It will also vent during cooldown, so loss of a small amount of coolant is normal over time...
Bite the bullet, buy the gallon, filler back up. Store whats left of the gallon in your garage for next time, or for a friend. ;o)

my guess is you have a leak....
I know I'm jumping to conclusions a little but if you have a 1.8T it's prolly at the elbow on the back of the cyl head- if you haven't changed it already ;-) Mine's an '02 and I just changed it.
