New maf, ecu reset????
Right just got a new MAF, not a Bosch one I might add and my cars running well dodgy. The seller reckons I need to reset the ECU. Is this correct? Also will my Audi chorus ask for a code when the ECU is reset? Will ECU resetting it affect anthing else on the car?
Cheers.

Re: Is the MAF intended to be an exact replacement of the stock unit? If so, no ECU reset needed.
Well I dissconnected my battery for 15 minutes hoping that would reset ECU??? drove it again and still the same thing, realy erratic boost. Even a feeling the traction controll wasnt working. Still getting no codes and no lights tho.
And yeah its supposed to be a direct replacement for my old MAF, mad by Durchfluss or somethiing. That l teach me for buying cheapies.

Disconnecting the battery doesn't reset Bosch CPUs since they utilize
a controlled shutdown using non-volatile memory. Battery disconnect can work on some cars to clear KA memory, but not the B6 AFAIK.
