Outside air temp sensor...
I have had my 1.8t for about a month now and I noticed that the "outside air temp" reading is always about 5 deg (f) too high. My other car (Toyota) is always dead acurate. Is this common? Anyone else had this and had it fixed? Figured I would have them look at it the next time i take it in. thx.

mine is always about 3 - 5 F deg higher too.
i had a '98 a4 2.8Q and it had the same problem. Dealer once told me that they are hypersensitive to forewarm of freezing temps and unsafe driving conditions. i think that was pure b.

Very common problem I have found.
Mine runs 4-5 degrees hotter too. I think this is due to the road heat. You would think that Audi in all of their engineering wisdom would program the sensor to read 4-5 degrees cooler.
