For people who have problems with console hitting their knee/leg...please read
The problem has been reported enough to make Audi listen.
If you are in US/Canada please call Customer Relations at 1-800-822 2834 and let them know about the console problem.
They will ask you about the problem, ur height/weight, and when the discomfort occurs. They want to know the relation between height and the problem.
If this is reported enough, there would probably be a recall, or a solution (knee pad!). At least a re-design for late 2003, 2004 cars.
I think my bitching was helpful afterall

Good Job. They don't normally get this kind of feedback so they don't
know that owners are in discomfort. One thing I have noticed is the encroachment into the personal space to make the car feel safer. The center console does not need to be as wide as it is..
