Default Preventing CEL With a Test Pipe (1.8T Quattro)

As the title suggests. I'm thinking of installing a test pipe, and I'm not sure how to trick O2 sensore into not throwing a CEL. The reason for a mod is to upgrade to a Stage 2 tune. Currently running a Stage 1 tune just fine.

What tuner are you going with for the Stage 2 tune? According to APR, the Stage 2 tune only codes out the rear O2 sensor and does nothing to the actual performance parameters.

There's a local tuner that I go to. They do their own chip remaps. The prices ends up being around the same as an online tune, but I also get the comfort that my car has been tested professionally.

If they are a tuner, tell them to code your rear O2 sensor out. It’s what I did.
