Problem mounting my summer tires today.
On many of the lug bolts, I couldn't get the lug bolts to torq to 90ft/lbs. Some would just shriek as I turned the torque wrench, and wouldnt reach torque limits or wouldnt reach them where I expected them to.
Not sure if this is a wheel bearing, but where you mount the wheel to the car, all the thread holes had more rust than I expected to see, worst ones were the rears.
Now my car is way out of balance, 40mph is the limit before the car starts to seethe with vibration. Now they could just be out of balance since the wheels were rotated from front to back, but somethings seems very wrong here. Do I need servicing above and beyond a good spin balance and remount?

Others might disagree, but I'd say try some anti-seize grease
I've used this for years on my Audis - old '90 Coupe and present '98 A4 - in snowy western PA with no problems. Alpply a light coat to the threads then work the lug bolt in and out. Sounds like the threads are rusty from your description; hopefully, they're not stripped.
