Has anyone had any problems with their key immobilizer? I've had problems starting my car 4 times within the past week.

I get in, turn the key and the car will run for 2-3 seconds. Then it immediately dies and the key light flashes on the instument cluster. In all cases, if I remove the key and wait a few seconds and try again, it will start fine after 2-3 cranks.

I'm using the key that I always use so I'm going to switch to my spare and see if it happens again. That should give a clue as to if it is a problem in the key or the immobilizer.

Obviously it needs to go to the dealer but I'm surious to see if others have had the same problem.

I had the same problem. Took it to the dealer and they replaced the imobilizer I beleive.
