Default Rattling in interior for a few minutes after starting

Often, shortly after I start my car, I hear some rattling coming from the vicinity of the arm rest. It sounds exactly like something inside there is rattling around ... but there's nothing inside. Then, just when it's about to drive me completely nuts, it stops. Any clue at all?

I usually put my work badge in the tray below the arm rest that rattles, what do you have in there?

Trust me, I've removed everything. If it were an object, the sound wouldn't stop ...

Default Any difference armrest up or down? Could it be coming from somewhere else?

Maybe perhaps along the seat rails? Ash tray?

I haven't tried it with the armrest up, but I've moved every loose thing in the front seat, and I can't find the problem. This really seems like the kind of thing that the dealer won't try very hard to get to the bottom of. But maybe it is an object and will just go away ...
