Default scheduled maintenance/services

does anyone have or know where i can find a list of the recommended/scheduled maintenances for an 03 a4? in the maintenance book i got, i only see schedules for every 10k miles but i hear people bring the car in for 45k and etc. my cars almost at 45k but the onboard computer says the next one is at 50k.

Default There is no 45k service... you bring the car in at 49,xxx miles for the 50k....

it never hurts to do an oil change every 5k, but thats about it from what I did with the car.

Default On the '04.5 (or '04) and up, services start at 5k and increment every 10k, so there is a

5k, 15k, 25k, 35k and 45k service.

Of course, the owner can do the extra 5k interval oil changes at 10k, 20k, 30k, 40k, etc like I've been doing.

For pre '04, it was every 10k, so you're right on that part. So for the original poster, the 15, 25, 35, 45k services you see are either the newer B6 A4's or just oil changes inbetween pre '04s service intervals

Default Oh...

Nowadays it doesn't really matter since maintenance is no longer free on the new A4s.

Default Yeah....

the funny thing is these services are incredibly easy and cheap to perform yourself.... but at dealer markup they're an insane rip off.
