My driver's side tweeter just went out for the third time since I bought my car -- always the same tweeter. My dealer has replaced it under warranty each time so far.

The outage seems to occur about a week after I've had it replaced each time. It first starts cutting in and out at low volumes, then will only produce sound at very high volume. Any ideas on what might be causing it? Obviously, I wouldn't get three faulty tweeters in a row. So, I can only assume there must be some problem with the stereo unit - overpowering that channel, short in that channel, etc.

Anyone had a similar problem? Any suggestions?

I don't think it's the tweeter, but rather the wiring.
