Stereo Improvements
2003 A4 1.8T 5Spd. FWD

Need advice on aftermarket upgrades for the stereo. I don't want to change the head unit, but I DO want more sound! Can I simply add a an amp and upgrade the speakers, or does the factory head unit pose some problems?

i used a line output converter from www.davidnavone.com . this is the actual converter i used, http://www.davidnavone.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=N-7V
I really liked this converter. To my ears, it sounded just as good as the alpine headunit i used in my previous car. I used it to send the signal to my processors/amps and then to my speakers.
