Default Things that make you go "hmmm". Morning AW Poll:

As follow up to my CEL/MIL post on Sunday, the CEL went OFF this morning. Morning temp=72 degrees so it is cooler than it has been the past few days.

This happened once last summer and the car was running lean. Cleared the codes and no problems since.

So, what do you guys think? Why would the CEL go off?<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a4gen2/msgs/593674.phtml">Repost for the week day crew</a></li></ul>

Default If it wasn't a "big deal" type of thrown code,

the light is supposed to go off after "3 successful trips" with the same problem not re-occuring. I could be wrong, but that's what I remember reading somewhere.

Default you can play this guessing game all day. Just get a VAG-COM and check the codes to be sure.

You can get a MIL for a lot of different reasons. Could be a sensor, could be your gas cap.

To my knowledge, misfires don't generally throw MILs, but they will record DTCs.
