V6 2.5 Tdi ecu question
I'm selling my A3 to get a used A4 with the V6 Tdi engine in it. My question is, is there any difference in the engines other than the ecu to produce the different power outputs for the different models.
i.e. is a 163bhp engine physically any different from the 180bhp version?
I'm holding out for a quattro version when one becomes available and if I can get the ecu remaped on a lower power version there's no point in waiting for a 180bhp version to turn up (also cheaper insurance).
Many thanks for any help

Re: V6 2.5 Tdi ecu question
You won't likely get many responses here as the Audi TDI is not available in North America (too bad!). We only get the VW Golf, Jetta and Passat.
Have you tried posting this on the TDI development forum?
Good luck.
