Welcome to teh effing work week. Hit a deer on the way to work this morning
Wasn't quite awake yet and the split second delay hitting the brakes cost me. broke the lower grille, the tow hook cover, broke the bumper mount on the side and broke the xenon headlight housing. Could have been worse, I know, but what a great welcome back to teh work seek.
Oh, and if anyone needs venison I can hook you up.

I nailed one about 10 years ago in my Honda Civic....
a big buck (yes in Buck's County Pennsylvania)Other than major front end body work, headlites and radiator - I came out ok. Deer was still alive by side of road, cop took out his handgun and 2 shots later... cop said that the week before a car hit a deer, the damn thing flipped onto hood, thru windshield and killed the driver.

Common occurance here in NE with moose - car kicks out their legs from under them then you got....
a 1000+ lbs of moose coming down right at your windshield and roof. Not a pretty sight. Most accidents happen at night since it's difficult to see the skinny legs of the moose in the dark until it's too late.
