Default What is the offset? New A6 18" Sport Wheel

Need to know, will this wheel work on my B6? Is the offset between 35-42? Finally, anyone know about larger calliper clearance?

See Pic here:

Default Does anyone know how changing offset affects the car? Does it matter or can changing it be bad?

I have stock sport wheels which are 45et but my winters are only 30et. To tell you the truth the 30et looks much better, fills the wheel well better and makes the stance look more wide and aggressive.

Can this screw up the car?

Default You're fine

and you're correct: flush looks better. Incorrect offset can cause problems if the wheel is too far out (tire rubs fender or wheel well) or too far in (rubbing and/or conflict w/ brake caliper).

Technically, wider offset is better for handling, but w/in our possible wheel offset range, it's not terribly noticeable going from 45mm to 30mm.
