Another follow-up on my seat repair...
As previously posted, I had cracks in my plastic leather bolsters. My dealer fixed them under warranty no charge. Nice!
A day or two later, I notice a rattle in the front of the car...near the wipers. What the ??? A quick inspection found a tool that was left on the "tray" area near the wipers. Some sort of "pick" tool. Certainly not mine...looks like something an upholstery guy would use. Hmmm, must've been left there by the tech who fixed my seat.
Cleaned the car this weekend, and in doing so, had to power the seat all the way forward and back. Normally, the seat really never moves. Ugh. Sounded like the motor was full of sand!! Wasn't like that *before* I had the seat fixed. Crap. Back to the dealer.
Anyway, my friendly dealer agreed the motor in the seat is defective and is going to replace it under warranty. I think they had the seat out of the car to fix it, and did not re-install properly. In any case, my dealer has once again been excellent. Good thing they are only 5 minutes from my office.

1 day
I brought my car in first thing in the morning and it was done by the end of the day. My dealer drops me off at work, and then picks me up.
The dealer ordered the "seat cover" ahead of time and, apparently, they have some local upholstery magician who "un-sews" the old seat and sews on the new cover. Flawless job. You can't tell it was ever cracked or otherwise "messed with".

How bad does it have to be?
Can you post a pic of the damage prior to getting it fixed? I just bought my CPO a few weeks ago, and I just noticed a few small cracks on the driver's side bolster. I'm curious how bad it has to be before they will fix?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Not that bad, actually
I had about 5 separate cracks. Each was about 1-3cm in length, but the whole area they appeared in was in a strip about 2 cm by 10 cm.
The dealership will want to make sure it was a defect in the seat, and not made by a knife or other sharp instrument.
I suggest you bring it in immediately for evaluation.

Re: Not that bad, actually
I have two about that length seperated by about 3 cm. I didn't even notice them until I went to clean them last weekend. I'll get it in ASAP! Thanks for the info!
