Bluetooth connectivity problem
I got an LG 8300 phone with bluetooth on Thursday and am having some problems with it.
The phone does not automatically find my A4 when I start the car unless I turn off the phone, turn it back on, go to "tools", "Bluetooth", and hit "OK". The phone then finds my Audi. That's the first problem. Why isn't my phone automatically finding my absolutely beautiful silver A4 with 6-speed manual transmission, sun roof, wood trim, navigation.... when I start the engine?
The second problem is that about two thirds of the time, after I make a couple calls the bluetooth disconnects from my Audi. I then have to repeat the process (turn phone off, turn it on, connect bluetooth). Why does the phone randomly disconnect after I make a couple calls?
Does anyone else have this sort of problem? Should I be using a different phone? I'm on Verizon Wireless and I have another ten days to return the phone and get another one. Is there a "best" cell phone to use as far as compatibility with the bluetooth device in the A4?
Thanks!
As far as compatibility with Audi goes, Motorola E815 I had before worked with it a bit better (unlike LG, and I believe it'd be any LG or Samsung I know of, although I might be wrong) E815 (and I assume any other Bluetooth Moto phone) would actually upload the phonebook to Audi, something that LG does not do.
Of course being a Motorola it was so bad on so many other levels that I am happy that I got rid of it...
