New speakers sound the same as OEM, please advise
I just bought a pair of Pioneer TS-A1674R 6.5" 3-way Speakers to replace the front two audi sympathy speakers.
I did not replace the stock head unit or add any other equipment (ie. amps)
Though, they sounds a bit cleaner then the OEM pair, they are producing about the same amount of power (in volume).
Could I have been lied to by the good folks at crutchfield.com or is there something am unaware of?
Thanks!

Speakers don't change the amount of power the head unit puts out ; sound quality may be better though. for more power (i.e. watts output) , you need to change the amp as well.

efficiency is the key,not all speakers nead the same power to play loud,
if your pioneer`s are ex: 92db 1 watt meter efficiency then it will play louder than oem speakers that are maybe at 89db 1 watt meter.
each 3 db doubles the sound, but maybe the pîoneer is juste about the same beacause 1 or 2 db is hardly noticable.
db stands for decibels
