Pulled trigger, returning from dark side...
I'm confused by the Clair site as to which rubber mats to get for the B7...if someone could provide insight?
Someone once posted here that the infiniti "has no soul"... a fairly accurate statement. If you have owned an Audi, it is probably not a car you would be happy with (more details available if anyone interested).
Thanks for the useful info here (been lurking for a while). Test drove the dsg A3...a freakin hoot to drive, but no quattro in the 2.0. If they would only configure that tranny for the A4...
I think the B7 is improved over the B6 (sport suspension makes a difference, certainly). Picked it up end of July. Only 4200 miles or so on it right now. Seems like it took 1000-2000 to really break in/loosen up. Also sits lower now. Looks great. It isn't the fastest vehicle on the road but it is plenty quick and handles great for stock. Is very comfortable and quiet but will snarl when requested. I love the balance Audi has achieved.
Nothing against black but did I say it looks excellent in Arctic white? Hope you enjoy your new ride.
I had the same question and folks here told me to go with the B6 mats. They were right.
In order to order the mats from Clair online I had to "pretend" that my car was an 05 1.8T.
If you list a B7, the mats won't be available.
Clair was great. I got my Clay rubbber mats in just a few days for $104 shipped.
I'm totally satisfied.
There's a thread on this a few pages back. Best of luck.
I didn't think the cruddy interior would bother me, but it did, and I never cared much for the exterior. I was forever hunting down rattles...doors, windows, headliner, etc. AWD system is good, but couldn't get more than 20mpg. As far as build quality, the Audi is in another league. While the G has a nice engine, looking at the large size of the gaps (between the body parts)will give an indication of inferior level of engineering. With less than 25k miles, had worn out tires, and some suspension components-replaced under warrantee?!?! The G forums are full of complaints of squeeks, rattles, & creeks. I decided it was not a car I wanted to own when warrantee expired.
