No fan no compressor
I have a 2014 A4 29K miles. Left the resturant no ac. Compressor not engaging. Ac light on . Interior fan working. Radiator fans not on with ac switch. Drove around reached operating temperature and no fans. Did not drive that far but temp gauge read where it is supposed to. Radiator Fan fuses good. AC fuses on for passenger and driver side fuse box for what appears to be ac circuitsgood.

Can someone let me know where to look on my year 2014. I have read the other post but those are older models. I understand the harness changes from year to year. I am a competent electronics technician.

Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it. There is also two other fuses that are tagged air conditioner that I checked also. I cannot find a schematic on the car. I went to audi wier but those diagrams are pretty much useless. I bought a diag tool that should be here today. Perhaps an error code will show me the way. I am beginning to believe its the fan controller. I just can't confirm from any of the forums that it too turns on the compressor clutch. Hard to believe I am having problems on a car with less than 30k miles and a 2014 B8.5. I believe that the controller handles the current and there are no other relays on this model. Although that could be incorrect.
I should know more later today. I will post any codes.
Once again thank you for your response

fault codes 00256 and 00457 AC pressure switch. First what pressure should I see static?
Do I have to drain the system to change the switch ( stupid question but I have my fingers crossed)

so the latest. I bought carista and the error codes are 00256 and 00457 . The first is the low pressure warning. The second is a communication error. I read on another forum the 2013 and 2014 had a run of bad ( not lasting very long) sensors. It makes sense as this part would wear with age and not use. My car only has 29k. For 40 bucks I am going there.
No my fans do not come on or at least when I am in a position to hear them. BUT the car never goes past the center line on the temp gauge. Just like it always acted previous to this issue. Perhaps they do come on low running down the road and I cant hear them. But at any rate in Fl and it is hot right now the car is not overheating.
This car did not have a scratch when I bought it. 12k miles and 3 years old.No one had sat in the back seat yet. But one of the plastic inserts in the panel that covers the radiator-condensor was missing?
