I have a 2010 Audi A4 Quattro. Apparently it hasn’t oil leak. I have been told that the oil pan and head gasket need to be replaced. I had an oil change done on July 10 I checked last week, and it looked like a quarter was gone on the oil level check mechanism in the car. I just checked again yesterday, and it says that the oil level is full and OK. What’s going on?I know that nothing is wrong with the sensor, because it has told me before when the oil level was low and I needed to add a quart of oil.

Oil pan and head gasket? Opposite ends of the block.
If you have an oil leak that's of significance, you'll see the yellow oil low indicator come on at some point. I'd wait and see if that happens. How many miles did you go from a full bar to yellow warning. Decide then if it's a problem enough to spend money on repairs.
The oil level will go up and down to some extent. I've had it go down and come back up as much as a 1/4 of the bar over the course of a week or two. I don't care too much what's going on unless that yellow warning comes on. Then it has my attention.
I try to never fill the oil up so much that it goes above the top of the display; at that point I can't tell how much movement is really happening when the level does come back down into the display range.
