Default TSB on timing chain tensioner?

Anybody have this done?
My car just out of CPO warranty 110k and car won't start dealer says engine code reads skipped timing............

Here's scenario:
CEL light came on last week(aug 7) , thought it was a misfire reading.
Next day CEL light was off.
Drive for the week, get in car(aug 11) and won't start. Have car towed.
Dealership says code says Aug 7 Timing Skip code.
Would it still be possible to drive the car if your timing had skipped? or did it skip again afterwards?
I heard there was a TSB on the tensioner, but now that car is outta warranty not sure if it applies.

Anyways options aren't looking good, any advice.
