Window price sticker terminology?
Owner of old beat-up 2000 A4 1.8T quattro here. Looking at new A4s (I like the Avant).
I was checking the Monroney (window) stickers at the dealer here yesterday and I noticed that none of them (that I saw) referred to the "Premium", "Premium Plus", or "Prestige" that is so basic on Audi's corporate website. Any idea why this is so?
thanks

Premium, Premium +, Prestige are terms used in the US though these packages are marketed differently in other countries. I believe that in Canada they refer to the three levels as "A4", Premium, Premium+. So if you're in Canada, you may have been looking at base models. Otherwise I'm not sure - the window stickers in the US show the package names.

Thanks. I will double check (in US). I assumed that the designation would be in big bold letters at the top of the document. Now I'm thinking it might have been in the "fine print".
But it is true that many dealers seem to obfuscate this in their on-line descriptions (maybe they don't get it, don't care, or are trying to misinform in order to create confusion) by listing all the individual features but not indicating the "premium", "p+", or "prestige" that would make it so simple. eg: I don't really care to read if the car includes "front license plate holder", etc.
